We
are much more than can be merely seen or touched
physically.
The
anatomy of the human being goes much beyond his physical
body, and to obtain a better understanding of the
subjects presented here, we will explain a little about
the bodies or vehicles which form the totality of the
human being.
The
physical body is our body of flesh and bone, which is
the vehicle by which we express ourselves in he third
dimension or physical world. This body is subject to
time and, thus, a day will come when its biological
functions and metabolism will cease.
This
is the physical death of that vehicle.
The
vital body is simply the four-dimensional sphere of the
physical body.
It
is also known as aura, etheric body or lingam sarira.
This body may be photographed by Kirliam camera.
This
is the body which gives vitality and heat to our
physical body. When the vital body begins to
deteriorate, as it is also subject to time, the physical
body will necessarily go the same way. When the physical
body dies, the vital body disintegrates too.
Four
ethers make up the vital body:
Reflective
ether
Luminous ether
Chemical ether
Ether of life
The
first of these ethers is intimately related to the
various functions of the will and the imagination.
The
second is secretly associated with all sensory and
extrasensory perceptions.
The
third serves as the foundation for all biochemical
organic processes.
The
fourth serves as a medium for the forces that work with
the reproductive processes of the species.
The
Astral Body is the vehicle by which we express ourselves
in the astral or dream world.
This
vehicle is not subject to time, it is governed by laws
that are different from three-dimensional and
four-dimensional laws.
It
is a vehicle of the fifth dimension, it does not die
neither does it disintegrate when physical death occurs.
This
body is linked to the physical body by the silver cord,
which is also known as the thread of life and in the
east, as Antakarana. It is an energy thread which breaks
only at the time of physical death.
With
the astral body we can act consciously outside the
physical body and visit the various locations of the
astral world.
This is what we know as astral unfolding, astral
projection, etc.
The
Mental Body is the vehicle by which we express ourselves
in the mental world, which is also located in the fifth
dimension, and as is the case of the astral body, does
not die or disintegrate when physical death occurs.
We
mentioned above the vehicles or bodies that we possess
and that we use to act in different dimensions of
nature. All vehicles need a “driver”, something or
somebody to conduct it.
Below,
we will see what animates these vehicles, what we really
are internally.
Essence,
conscience or soul is actually the noblest thing we
have. It is a divine part that expresses itself in
different dimensions through its vehicles, as mentioned
above.
This
is what we really are, but unfortunately, it is
excessively dorment and imprisoned inside our various
psychological defects (or selfs) and it rarely is able
to express itself.
The
Essence is Immortal
In
a newborn child the essence expresses itself free from
psychological defects, which makes them beautiful,
adorable and innocent.
Unfortunately,
as time goes by, this Essence is imprisoned again in the
“self”, and that spontaneous beauty disappears.
Through
mystical death we progressively release and strengthen
the essence, and by this means, our conscience is
awakened, acquiring self-knowledge and bringing us
closer to divinity.
Ego
is the sum of all our psychological defects, also called
“self” or “ego details”. In spite of its inhuman
nature, it is also what we are.
As
the imprisoned essence rarely expresses itself, the ego
is what acts within us.
As
a reference we can say that our internal constitution is
as follows:
3%
of Free Essence (still asleep)
97% of imprisoned Essence in the different selves
The
selves are like various persons living inside us, each
one with its own will, opinions, desires, thoughts, etc.
Each of these “persons” fights for its supremacy, to
be the commander of the human machine.
In
Oriental Tibet the doctrine of the many selves is taught
by the authentic illuminated ones, where they are called
psychic aggregates.
The
pluralized ego is the aggregate of very many selves or
psychological defects, which are created and nourished
by ourselves.
The
ego does not die when physical death occurs, but
continues living in the fifth dimension. When the
essence returns in a new physical body, once more the
ego reincorporates together and continues to keep the
essence dorment and imprisoned.
The
ego is eliminated through mystical death, which we can
go through here and now, voluntarily and consciously, or
it will be disintegrated in the infradimensions of
nature, in a slow and painful process.
This
is called “second
death”.
