Also
known as astral unfolding or even as astral travel, this
is a natural human function (present also in animals),
which always occurs when we are asleep.
It
is important at this point to remember the bodies and
vehicles of the occult human anatomy:
Vital
body or aura:
the four-dimensional sphere of the physical body.
Astral
body:
which corresponds to the astral world.
Mental
body:
which corresponds to the mental world.
When
we are sleep we leave our physical bodies in bed and
travel to the astral world (or dream world).
This
takes place so that the vital body (or aura) can
“recharge” the physical body, which has been drained
of energy in the normal daily activities.
Due
to this, it is impossible for a person to remain without
sleeping for a long time. The physical body needs to be
revitalized in order to keep working. A very commom
example of this necessity is when people who, due to the
undelayable requirement of revitalization of their
physical bodies, fall asleep while they are driving a
vehicle, consequently causing, sometimes, serious
accidents.
When
we are in our astral body, we can go anywhere and learn
about many things, including things about the past and
the future.
This
happens because in the astral world, which is governed
by other laws, time does not exist, but rather only
eternity.
Also,
when we are in astral bodies we can fly and move as fast
as thoughts.
Who has never dreamt they were flying? Or, that one
moment they were one place and the next in another
entirely different one.
There
are also situations in which a certain fact takes place
and we say, “It seems like something I had already
dreamt about before!” That is because we saw something
of the future in the astral world.
You
see, this is a world of immense possibilities to be
investigated.
There
is no risk or danger in this because, besides being a
natural human function, we do this every night or every
time we fall asleep. And we always wake up again,
don’t we?
The
astral body remains linked to the physical body by the
silver cord, which is also known as the thread of life
and, in the east, as Antakarana.
This
cord stretches into the infinite, never breaks and
always allows us to return to our physical body in total
safety.
The
problem is that we do this unconsciously and thus we
can’t do what we desire, we can’t visit a desired
location or look for some particular knowledge we need.
Therefore,
we must learn conscious astral travel, in a spontaneous
manner, so that we can really get pleasure from freedom
and the infinite possibilities of astral projection,
where we can learn about mysteries of life and death,
visit the Temples of Wisdom, etc., etc.
Next
we will describe some simple and efficient techniques
for astral projection.
The
mantras.
A
mantra is a group of sounds (vowels, syllables or words)
which, due to specific vibrations, produce a desired
effect.
The following mantras produce the effect of astral projection.
FARAON
– is pronounced in two parts, like this:
FFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOONNNNNN
*
EGIPTO
– is pronounced in two parts, like this:
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE....JJJJJJJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII P TTTTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
LARAS
– is
pronounced in two parts, like this:
LLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS
*
TAIRÊRÊRÊRÊRÊ
– is pronounced in a single part, like this:
TAAAIIIIII
RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ RÊ *
*note:
the letter “R” is always pronounced with the sound
of a single “R” in the middle of a word. For
example, like the “R” sound in the word "heart".
We
must always perform this practice lying down in a
comfortable position, in full relaxation and performing
the mantras in a very concentrated way, thinking about
nothing else.
We
can perform the mantras verbally about three times and
then begin to do them mentally, repeating them until a
light sleep is induced and then an astral projection.
Sometimes
we perceive the usual symptoms of unfolding as a
generalized "tingling”, the physical body is
immobilized, and there is strong vibration. All this is
perfectly natural and when you perceive these symptoms,
just continue with your mantras until you reach the astral
projection.
You
must practice every night whithout giving up, because
that is the way that results will appear.
When
you are outside your body, pray to your inner Father,
who is the Master or individual Real Being of each
person, who will take you to the Gnostic Church or any
other place you want to see, and he will take you there.
We
recommend you visit the Gnostic Church, because it is a
Temple of Wisdom where important Hierarchies officiate,
such as Angels, Archangels, Mahatmas, etc., real masters
of wisdom who are waiting for souls that really desire
the true knowledge of the mysteries of nature, life and
death, and of the whole universe.
This
knowledge is not contained in books and cannot be
learned at schools. It is something much superior.
The
practice of the little jump
This
practice is very effective and in fact it is a
discipline to be applied in our daily life.
Doing
this daily we will awaken our consciousness in the
astral world, that is, when we are dreaming we will wake
up (without coming back to the physical body) and then
we will perceive we are in the astral world. Then,
it’s just a question of going to the Gnostic Church.
The
discipline is as follows:
In
our daily life we must pay attention in everything
around us, such as people, objects, places, etc. In the
astral world there are many things and phenomena which
don’t exist in our physical world, such as flying
objects, strange creatures, unknown animals and a
variety of other things.
Then,
in our daily life, when we see something that looks
strange or different (for example, a person with
eccentric clothes, a different building, an unusual
object, in short, anything or situation that looks a
little different) we must ask ourselves, "Am I in
the physical or astral world now?”, and then we may
perform a little jump in order to float.
If
you can't float, obviously you are in the physical
world, but if you can, that means that up to that moment
you were dreaming and now you are conscious and you are
in the astral world.
The
more times you do that during a day, the better it is,
it will be easier to awaken in the astral world, because
if you get used to this discipline here in the physical
world, when you see some of the various strange things
that exist in the astral world, you will do the same
thing, that is, you will ask yourself, you will take a
little jump and then float, then you will be conscious
and you will be able to go to the Gnostic Church or
anywhere else you may desire.
Illustrative
action in daily life.
"...
That John mentioned here so many times, our friend, used
to perform this practice during his daily life, at every
moment, when he was facing any detail that caused
interest or curiosity. One night… John had visited
some friends. They welcomed him very affectionately.
As
he sat there among them, he took part in their
conversation and was really very content to be there.
However,
as was his custom, when facing any important detail, he
asked that question to himself, and obviously that
meeting with his friends was reason enough to ask
himself again: “Am I in astral? Will I go outside my
physical body?”
He
looked around him and evidently everything showed he was
not outside the physical body. His friends were wearing
normal clothes of contemporary common urban life:
dresses, jackets, etc.
Nothing
indicated John was in astral. However, he said to
himself: “I’ll take a jump!”
He
asked his friends permission and left the room.
Once
outside, he resolutely took the highest jump he could,
in order to fly.
The
result was certainly extraordinary; he floated in space.
Then, he saw clearly he was in astral, his physical body
was left behind in bed.
John
was able to ask himself this question in the astral
world because during his daily life, moment by moment,
he always asked himself the same question. Conclusion:
the practice had remained in his subconscious in an
absolute manner. Thus, automatically, his subconscious
stimulated him to repeat it during his sleep, exactly
when he was outside his physical body. In this way his
astral consciousness was awakened.
John
came back to the room and then said to his friends:
“I
want to tell you, my friends, that everybody in this
room is in astral bodies. The question is: we went to
bed several hours ago to sleep… Thus, our physical
bodies are in their respective beds… and we are all in
astral.”
His
companions looked at each other, pinched themselves and
said:”This is impossible! We are in physical bodies,
in flesh and bone!
Ïn
the end, they all laughed at John.
When
John saw that his friends were either a group of
innocent people or were living with slumbering
consciousness, he withdrew floating in astral body.
He
thought of going to San Francisco, California, and so
there he went, because he wanted to visit a certain
temple that an initiated person built in that city.
On
the way, John found a man in astral that was walking on
a road.
That
man was a porter and he was carrying a huge pack on his
back.
When
John looked at him, he could perceive certain details:
he was looking at a dead man!
He
had left his body some time ago… and now, in astral
body, he was walking along that road. That man was
firmly convinced that he was walking there in his
physical body.
He
disregarded everything related to his death.
He
walked with his consciousness asleep and the pack he
carried on his back was no more than a mental image
created by himself. That poor man had been a porter and
still, after his death, he went on with his occupation
of carrying loads. John wanted to help him awaken his
consciousness and said to him: “My friend, perceive
your situation... Remember, you have already died, you
no more have a physical body.”
The
man looked at John with sleep walking eyes and
couldn’t understand anything John was trying to make
him understand.
John,
floating around him, made another attempt, which,
however, was also unsuccessful. The man’s
consciousness was slumbering and the attempt of
awakening it was a total failure.
If
this man while alive, when he had his physical body, had
practiced the key to discernment, he would have been
able to awaken his consciousness during normal sleep and
now, after his death, he would have become a conscious
disciple of the Great White Lodge, even though he was
disembodied.
John
gave up any further efforts and went on his way, finally
arriving at the temple which was the goal of his visit.
Later,
he returned happily to his physical body.
He
re-entered his body through the pineal gland, which is
the window of Brahma, the seat of the Soul, as Descartes
said.
Certainly,
using the key here revealed, countless disciples will
succeed in awakening their consciousness to the inner
worlds. The important thing is to continuously practice
it during the waking hours, so that it will be engraved
in the subconscious and then be automatically active
during sleep.
This
is the way we put our subconscious to work for the
conscious will. When the student returns to the physical
body, after sleeping, he should not move on his bed,
because movement of the physical body agitates the
astral body and memories are lost. When you wake up,
practice a retrospective exercise to remember where you
were, what places you visited and what you learned while
you were active in astral."

Heart
Concentration.
Another
extremely effective practice which is used in astral
travel is heart concentration.
After
you have lain down in a comfortable position and with
your body completely relaxed, you should concentrate and
imagine your own heart.
Try
to really see your heart, how it beats, what it looks
like externally, its color, texture, etc.
You
should not be worried if you don’t know what a heart
looks like in details, you can simply imagine it the way
you think it is.
With
practice, you will really see the actual appearance of
this organ (“the wise man who imagines, sees”).
After
a good external visualization of the heart, let your
imagination go inside the heart and begin to observe how
it works internally (the way you imagine it does).
When
you are satisfied with the internal investigation of
your heart, you must go deeper yet in your concentration
and visualize its cells. After that, concentrate even
more and look at a single cell. Lead your imagination to
the interior of the cell nucleus.
This
concentration must be done slowly, without hurry, and in
the best way possible. You will see that in the
beginning it is difficult to keep in mind the image we
want, but this will be accomplished with constant
practice.
Try
to fall asleep while performing this concentration.
You
can be sure that as you perform these practices you will
get the desired results.
The
practitioner can choose a technique best suitable to
himself and then discipline himself to practice it every
night, because that is the way to get results.
During
the course of the day it should also be practiced, using
the technique of the little jump.
It
is known that practicing during the early morning hours,
after you have already slept for some time, it is easier
to achieve astral projection, because besides the
physical body being more rested (which produces lighter
sleep) the early morning atmosphere is also more
peaceful and silent.
Many
people, using the techniques described above, have
experienced again and again for themselves the reality
and benefits of astral projection.
All
you need is willingness, practice and constancy.
Have
a nice experience!
