Why do ancient civilizations worship “God the Mother”?

In ancient civilizations they deeply worship “God the Mother” and we have always had an icon or symbol related to the Mother element.

In ancient Egypt she is ISIS; in Aztec civilization she is TONANTZIN; yet to medieval alchemists she is STELLA MARIS, the Virgin of the Sea. The Hindus called her DEVI KUNDALINI SHAKTI; in Greek civilization she is CYBELE, RHEA, ADONIA, and INSOBERTA… and in Christianity she was represented by MARY. 

Thus, Mary or Virgin Mary is the representation of God as a mother, from which she is called a virgin. She is always the Madonna who carries in her arms the child Christ. In God’s creation we see clearly the mother’s presence in all things and this is why in nature there is the grace and love of the mother, which is so essential even to animals and to ants. 

She is the originator, she is the great conception, she is the sustenance, the house, the home, the nature and the world. She is the motherly love which is always present in every woman… The human mother is nothing else but the resemblance and image of the universal mother, of God’s mother. If God is Father, he is also Mother, because there are two parts of HIM. 

It is also good to remember, that during Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, Mary and John the apostle were present in front of the cross, where the crucified Christ says to Mary: “WOMAN, THIS IS YOUR SON.” Next, talking to John the apostle, he says: “JOHN, THIS IS YOUR MOTHER!” The Son of Man, very wise, deeply understood that Mary, being a woman and a mother, was covered by the individual and spiritual manifestation of the Cosmic Mother. 

The Son of Man came to bring the doctrine of “I am the way, the truth and the life”, but this does not mean he is denying the mother principle that exists in everything and in all orders. 

The Mother element was present in Hindu, Maya, and Egyptian cultures, etc. and etc.

God, related to his motherly aspect is the Virgin Mary whom every good Christian deeply loves and venerates. 

The Egyptian, Hindu and Christian litanies are surprisingly and wonderfully similar… She is our queen of every period and every day... Blessed is God, blessed are the FATHER and the MOTHER! Everybody must deeply love “God the Mother”, everybody must venerate her in our inner being just as we venerate the Father and Christ, because she is the one who originates everything and she is the one who decomposes everything, according to God the Father’s will.

If Virgin Mary has such special connotation in primitive Christianity it must be because “God the Mother” is represented in herself, without whom the manifestation of the Trinity or the Logus in man would not be possible. Each one of us has his or her particular, individual Divine Mother; She, in Herself, is a part of our own Being.  

“God the Mother” within our own intimacy is the feminine aspect of our FATHER who dwells in secret. You must know, dear reader, that in the astral world you can meet your Individual Divine Mother and directly receive her instructions, as well as feel her such great love…

Whoever wants to ELIMINATE THE EGO, that is, the psychological defects of anger, pride, covetousness, jealousy, envy, gluttony, lust, fear, attachment, etc. and etc., must pray and supplicate to the Divine Mother for her to disintegrate these defects. 

The work of ego dissolution must be performed at every moment and every instant, whenever we observe the ego manifestations in our thoughts, feelings and acts. We must pray for elimination, even if a specific “self” manifests itself repeated times. 

It doesn’t matter, we must pray for its elimination every time it manifests itself again. As many times as the “self” manifests itself, we must pray for its elimination. 

This is the ongoing death. This is the ego death… The results of ego death indispensable to anyone who wants to develop internally and spiritually, and thus he should never forget to pray to the Divine Mother to eliminate the self-observed defect. “Self-observed defect; dead defect! “We must pray this way:

 “Dear Mother, please, take away from me this defect, disintegrate it! "

This is the only mean to eliminate your ego and to save your soul. WHOEVER DOES NOT ACT THIS WAY IS MISERABLY WASTING HIS TIME…

The psychological work consists of daily self-observing what we are doing. If we are doing something that is impairing us or impairing someone else, we should not continue doing this and we should pray to the Divine Mother to disintegrate this defect.

The self-observation consists of seeing the defective “self” without justification or punishment, just studying, understanding and eliminating it. We should not point out someone else’s  defects if we have them in ourselves, because if we can see someone else’s defects this is the same as seeing them in ourselves.  

The real gnostic is the one who, when seeing a defect in his brother, searches for means and ways to help him, because he knows how painful, difficult and conflicting is his own ego. Self-observation consists of observing your own defects and not somebody else’s defects.

Our Divine Mother has the power to pulverize any psychological defect. Only she possesses an igneous power superior to mind to disintegrate defective “selves.” We must understand that the ego can't be eliminated with the mind.

When the ego is dying, we are molding our soul which is the superior consciousness, while we ourselves are becoming freer, more creative, internally stronger and prettier, wiser, more intuitive, more intelligent and with greater love, thus permitting us to reach God who is the source of real and eternal happiness.
