Body, Soul and Spirit

The man is a trio of BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT. The physical body is a wonderful and extraordinary laboratory for the internal Self-Realization of the Being.

The Soul is a part of the Being which connects the Body and the Spirit. This is the relation between Body, Man and God.

The fact is that we only have 3% of soul, and gnostics call it the “Essence”. The remaining 97% is fractionated and bottled into the Ego. The Ego, in fact, is a group of psychological “selves” which characterize soul defects.

The phsychological defects (selves) are what we call Anger, Pride, Jealousy, Envy, Covetousness, Gluttony, Selfishness, Lust, Addiction, Laziness, etc. and etc.

The ego is a group of “selves”. Virgil, the author of Aenid, had already said that even though we had a thousand tongues and a steel palate, they could not be completely listed…

We have a hard job to carry out with psychological defects, because each “self” imprisons within itself a particle or percentage of the consciousness, which is the Essence.

The “self” is the antithesis of Essence, and the death of the “selves “ releases consciousness, which is the psychic material that makes us perceive God’s reality within and without of ourselves.

So if we eliminate, for example, the “selves” of Anger, meekness, good temper and inner peace will begin to develop within us.

If we eliminate the “selves” of laziness, willingness and disposition will be born within us. If we eliminate the “selves” of envy, philanthropy will be born in us, which is that sensation that causes us to be satisfied and delighted with the progress and ascension of others.

If we eliminate the “selves” of selfishness, we will see altruism being formed in us, that is, love for our fellow-beings, self-denial and universal sentiments. If we eliminate the “self” of pride, real humility, and naturalness will be born in us… If we eliminate the different “selves” of lust, chastity, faithfulness will be born in us… and so on.

Inner peace, altruism, humility, spontaneity, harmony, joy, equilibrium, creativity, wisdom, virtuosity, power, will, philanthropy, conscious love, etc. and etc., are ingredients of the soul, that is, of the consciousness. However, all of us have a soul that is divided up between several distinct  “selves” which we need to recognize in order to disintegrate them with the power of our internal Divine Mother (see the subject “Divine Mother”).
If we go through our lives dying in ourselves, that is, eliminating the thousands of psychological defects through continuous supplications to the Divine Mother, then we will make wonderfully good use of our life and we fit into what St Francis of Assis said in his famous prayer: “…and it is dying that we live unto eternal life.”

Only those who have a Soul will gain eternal life. To form the soul is a question of continuously seeking for death, since the soul is produced by the death of ego, so that is when we acquire real individuality and self-consciousness.

Jesus of Nazareth, the Great Kabir of Galilee, said:

“With patience you will possess your souls”

“The soul of each person suffers by carrying a crushing load: the persona."

To possess the soul is something very different, however it is written:

"WITH PATIENCE YOU WILL POSSESS YOUR SOULS…”

(V.M. Samael Aun Weor)

Individuality and unity is in the Being, in the ego is the plurality of “selves” and their multiplicity, for which reason everyone forms an opinion about it, according to his own way.
There is only one truth about man, about life and about God and we must find it inside ourselves, since there cannot be many truths about a single “thing”. We find truth when we awaken the consciousness, which is the means by which we obtain knowledge contained in nature, to build wisdom.

When we make good use of life to eliminate the “selves”, then this Essence begins to become a Soul.
When this happens the Soul needs to be clothed in its Solar Bodies (Astral, Mental and Causal) to become an Angel. The Angel is the real Man.
While the Solar Bodies are not created by transmutation of creative energy (sexual alchemy), the being is not considered a Man but an Intelectual humanoid.
Only those who become an Angel can incarnate the Spirit, since only the Electronic Bodies (Solar Bodies) are able to support the voltage of the Spirit.
As long as it is not possible to incarnate it, we only tune into the Spirit. It is necessary to understand that Solar Bodies must be created and it is very different from the four (4) Bodies (physical, vital, antral and mental), called Inferior Quaternary.

Self-Knowledge of the Being

When the seeker has already given form to the Soul and clothed his solar vehicles, then he joins ATMAN (the Innermost or Universal Soul), our Internal Master, who is another part of our Being (God). Atman is the Spirit. Each person has his own Atman, his internal Master.

Later on, the internal master CHRISTIFIES and turns into a Great Master to acquire perfection in mastership.

A Christified Master is the one who had incarnated and absorbed into himself the God-Child who is an integral part of the Divine Trinity. Remembering that Trinity FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT are the three superior parts of the Being, because God has many parts, which are unfoldings of HIMSELF.

Therefore, we can say that if God exists as Father and God as Holy Spirit, there is also God as Son, which is the CHRIST. He is the beloved Son of the Father. When Jesus of Nazareth had entirely incarnated the God-Child, his name became Jesus Christ, with the purpose of leaving us his doctrine of “I AM”, that is, the CHRIST doctrine. Only those who incarnate the Christ can say:” I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.”

Now, we are going to understand why Jesus had said that no one goes to the Father without the Son, because to reach the Father, one must first be christified.

This is the greatest aspiration of a soul. Whoever christifies himself, goes to the Father and absorbs within himself the three powerful forces of nature, on which everything is dependent, that is, on the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. Reaching this stage he becomes, in fact, a prototype of God, and then what is human becomes divine and the Spirit is humanized to penetrate, full of majesty, the infinite amphitheater of creation.

This is the Inner Self-Realization of the Being. Now, we can understand that God is a group of Gods which has the power to create and re-create through the Word and they are far beyond good and evil… The purpose of creation is to engender Gods with wonderful power to create, to organize and to coordinate the universe, because “Gods are God and God are Gods”, Jesus Christ is a God-Man and those who incarnate the Spirit, incarnate their innermost God. The Essence is a little part of God, thus it is always eternal…

“What I have done you can do too, and much more”

(V.M. Jesus Christ)

The Christ principle in different cultures

“…Christ is not only an individual; Christ is a Cosmic Principle which we must assimilate within our own physical, psychic, somatic and spiritual nature, through Sexual Magic.
Amongst the Persians, Christ is Ormuz, Ahura Mazda, the terrible enemy of Ahriman (Satan), which we have within us.
Amongst the Hindus, Krishna is Christ, and the gospel of Krishna is very similar to that of Jesus of Nazareth.
Among the Egyptians, Christ is Osiris and whoever incarnated him was in fact an Osirified One.

Amongst the Chinese it is Fu Hsi, the Cosmic Christ who composed the I-Ching (The Book of Laws) and named the Dragon Ministers. Among the Greeks, Christ is called Zeus, Jupiter, the Father of the Gods. Amongst the Aztecs it is Quetzalcoatl, the Mexican Christ.
In the Germanic Edda it is Balder, the Christ who was assassinated by Hoder, God of War, with an arrow of mistletoe. Thus we can find the Cosmic Christ in thousands of ancient texts and old traditions that came millions of years before Jesus.
All this invites us to accept that Christ is a Cosmic Principle contained in the essential principles of all religions. In fact, there is only one religion, unique and cosmic. This religion assumes different religious forms, according to times and needs of humanity.

Therefore, religious conflicts are absurd because, at their foundation all religions are only modifications of the Universal Cosmic Religion.
From this point of view, we affirm that this book is not against any religion, school or system of thought. The only purpose of this book is to give to humankind a KEY, a sexual secret, a KEY with which every living being may assimilate the Christic principle contained in the foundation of all the great religions of the world...”

(V.M. Samael Aun Weor)
